I haven't played Epic Yarn yet, so I wouldn't really know what it's really like. This new Kirby game, however, strays away from the elements used in Epic Yarn, and is going back to the good old Kirby that we know and love. The trailer alone got me very excited as it's very reminiscent to some of my favorite Kirby titles. Such as Kirby's Adventure and Kirby Super Star. Although I do wonder if this Kirby game is the same Kirby title that has been first announced for the Gamecube.

chrisno51 3 years 10 months ago Posts: 1577	Yay, so glad I didn't get Epic Yarn, it just didn't cut it for a Kirby game. Not like we are used to anyways. I did like the cowboy Kirby as well and the big sword. This one I'd certainly consider getting.

WinegumZero 3 years 10 months ago Posts: 719	Haven't played KEY, even though I do kinda want to. But this seems like the continuation of the original Kirby project Nintendo had in mind. Glad to see Kirby back in his roots though.

It seems to me that people only hated this game because it's different from the others. If that's the case, then perhaps something like the Paper Mario series should never have been made.

WinegumZero 3 years 9 months ago Posts: 719	I think the general complaint with KEY is that it's offensively easy. For a company that wrote the book on 'nintendo-hard' that doesn't really make a lot of sense. It absolutely oozes style though, and I'm sure to give it a try when the price goes down. For now I'm just more excited about this new Kirby game though.

blueluigi 3 years 9 months ago Posts: 3365 Account Disabled	I disagree with anyone who says that there's no challenge to Kirby's Epic Yarn just because you can't die. In fact, it's actually one of the most challenging Kirby games I've ever played. Now, if you're just going to go from point "A" to point "B" and get to the end boss, then yes it is very easy. But doing just that alone takes away all the fun. The MAIN course of the game is to collect a big portion of the beads and three items of each level to get a gold medal. The items you collect is basically used for Dom Wolle's apartment building where you got to upgrade his apartment building to a higher level. Also, before I sent this game back to Gamefly, I went through the ultimate challenge that is Beadrix's Sweet Park's minigame, where you got to distroy three bag creatures using either your yarn whip or your heavy weight in order to get all of the beads you need. I swear to god, that level took me 20 minutes to complete as they kept running away and disappearing before I could get to them. Now, if that wasn't challenging, then I don't know what is. In short, I think anybody who says the game sucks just because you can't die is REALLY missing out on what the game is really about. Even so, I still find it a very fun game to play through. That's just my thoughts.
