Ashleigh Ashton Moore (Chrissy on the movie Now And Then) died in 2007 from either a drug overdose or a sickness, no one seems to be able to confirm it, but she did in fact die of something.
Alexa Kenin who played Dana in Little Darlings and Jena on Pretty In Pink died in 1987 of again, controversial causes. Either murder or drugs.
Bobby Driscoll was a sad one. Voice of Peter Pan and various other Disney projects but was chucked aside like he was nothing when he started to go through puberty. His body was found in an abandoned tenement. Since he had no idea on him they burried him an an unmarked grave.
This may have already been mentioned, but if not, Michelle Thomas who played Justine on the Cosby Show and Myra on Family Matters died at the age of about 30 of stomach cancer. It's really sad because it's said that she refused certain reatments because she was afraid it would interfear with her chance of having children. Unfortunatly her cancer progressed and she didn't live long enough to have any. Malcolm-Jamal Warner was at her side when she died right before Christmas in 1998.
Though probably not well known right now, Samantha Smith (13 years old), an actress from my homestate of Maine, was known at the time for coming to national attention in 1983 when, as a 10-year-old, she wrote to Soviet Premier Yuri Andropov, "Why do you want to conquer the whole world, or at least our country?" The premier was touched by her genuineness and replied that he had no such intention. He then invited Smith and her family to the USSR for a special tour. She became well known literally overnight. She was in an episode of Charles in Charge, in a documentary about herself and starred in a show called "Lime Street" that was cut short due to the death of herself and her father when their plane crashed. I know in gradeschool back in the late 80s a few times on the anniversary of her death we would let balloons off into the air in her memory.
