Agreed. I do love a clockwork orange and full metal jacket though.

Remains of the Day. When a dustpan being knocked around is the most exciting thing in a movie, you know you're dealing with a real gem.

Cloverfield. I like alien movies like this, but there wasn't anything original in it.

District 9. Again, a movie that's been made a million times before. There wasn't any real character development, so you just didn't care what happened to any of the characters...except for the father and son aliens.

Cars. I guess Pixar's reign of awesomeness couldn't last forever. Their downfall started with Cars, then Ratatouille stuck the knife in deeper, then Wall-E poured some salt into the wound, then UP choked off it's air supply, then the plug was pulled by Toy Story 3. Cars just didn't make any sense. If it was a world of just cars, and there were no people, why did they have doors?

Paranormal Activity, Eyes Wide Shut, Terminator: Salvation are all bad.
I have to give Wing Commander the top honor that no one has mentioned. Good god me and my friend both fell asleep in the theater to it, I cant remember any actors but it was god awful.

I would say the live-action/CGI made-for-television adaptation of Alice in Wonderland from 2000. I prefer the classic Disney version (the animated one) two-to-none over the former that IMHO is a bore-fest.

Yeah, it wasn't that good. Sinestro had no reason to put on the yellow lantern ring.

What part of District 9 has been done a million times?? Is there a sub-genre of aliens in Africa which is partially metaphorical of the race issue? Do those movies have the same near flawless blend of CGI and practical effects?

The movie wasn't a character driven for a reason. It was meant to portray the area and conditions in a documentary-type situation.

Good movies overall but still pretty fuckin long and boring at times.

It would be easier to say what parts of District 9 HASN'T been done before. A group of aliens that come to earth and are treated like crap? Alien Nation comes to mind. Insect-like aliens? Sounds like Alien/Aliens to me. A person being transformed into an alien? Outer Limits did it. And to an extent, Forbidden Planet did it as well. A metaphor of the race issue? I think you're reading a little bit too much into it. It's just a movie.

Junior. You think that a movie where Arnold Schwarzenegger is pregnant would be a funny stupid movie but no. The movie is a freaking bore.
