The style is unusual, yet this is music that made an interesting backdrop to the the 80's and I can't imagine 80's music without it. Peter Schilling - "Major Tom (Coming Home)" - 1983: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7CuddGG8co As a further observation, it is still my opinion that "Major Tom" would've made a perfect opening theme for the BBC Sci-Fi series "Star Cops" from 1987. Both of these songs are better than the remakes by disturbed and Marilyn Manson.
