The Rolling Stones - Tattoo You 1981
Tattoo You uses a recording and songwriting method the Stones have recently gone back to which involves completing half finished songs from their past. Tattoo You features two tracks started during the Goats Head Soup sessions from '73, Waiting on a Friend and Tops and the rest of the album is made up of polished and completed versions of session outtakes from '75 through to late 1980. Jazz great Sonny Rollins put Sax overdubs on Waiting on a Friend, Slave and Neighbours, and Pete Townshend also guested on Slave.
