Yeah, I've been hearing lately that the DVDs are suddenly going for outrageous prices on Ebay. I got the 2-disc 20th Anniversary Edition DVD at a Pawn Shop a few years back for $5. Maybe I should sell it on Ebay and make a quick $100. I'm sure they will be putting the movie back into print really soon anyway.

Disney made it's retailers pull their copies of the dvd until after Legacy is released. I think they're afraid the dated look of the movie and the corny plot will make people not want to see the new film. Just wait a few weeks and you'll be able to find the dvd again for a normal price.

I love how Disney is only just realizing just recently, that there's a huge following for the original Tron. Its not like it was secret.

Why paying so much... rent it and make a back-up copy.

I've seen the "Dude" complaint in several reviews, mainly by people who haven't seen the original. Kevin Flynn was very "Dude" in the first Tron. And I think the 2D/3D thing was supposed to be a bit of a homage(or ripoff) to the Wizard of Oz.

I saw the midnight showing of it, I didn't like it that much. Especially the new light cycle design

I don't know if I loved it, but I certainly liked it. I can see not liking it, but I don't understand some of the hate it's getting across the interwebs.

debris how do you feel about flynn's character?

a thing i don't know how i feel about is the whole club scene thing. it was like an albino david bowie with the personality of jack sparrow. some of the characters just seemed done before. i loved daft punk in it. the part where they change the music during the fight... so funny.

                      i still don't understand the 2D/3D thing.

i think we can all agree that the movie made love to our eyes and ears the whole time though. soundtrack and visuals were amazing.

the audience kind of sucked though. they were a bunch of michael bay fanboys. when the transformers trailer came on they were all cheering. i was like oh jeez...

We didn't get the TF trailer. We got the Green Lantern 3D trailer (which wasn't in 3D). I liked the Castor character. I didn't see him as Jack Sparrow. I saw him as a David Bowie/Alan Cumming personality. (Seriously, Michael Sheen was channeling Alan Cumming there.) As for Flynn, look at how laid back he was in the first Tron. He was the Dude before there was even a Dude. As for the ISOs, a lot of that was revealed in the Betrayal comic. But yeah, I wanted to see more on them. I just hope we don't have to wait another 28 years.

I'm sure if this one makes money, we'll have a sequel in a few years.

Remember how the Wizard of Oz starts out in black and white and goes color when she enters Oz? Thats what they were going for here. It's a cheap, but sort of cool gimmick.

The sequel? It was pretty obvious when Tron was floating away and the color of his suit changed from red to white.

I enjoy it very much. Its visually/audio stunning as expected and quite on par with the comics.

The ISO's where not fully tackled but good enough imo. Jeff Bridges did a good job though I have to agree about the "dudness"... its a bit annoying at times but he did justice to the original Flynn's characterization.

I liked this movie, the 3d was amazing and so was the soundtrack, Flynn's character was a great homage to the original Flynn in the first movie, I actually like how they changed the light cycles in this one, where they could actually jump over the speed lines and stuff, the light jets were awesome too. And yes Zuse remminded me of David Bowie, and the Daft Punk appearance was awesome!

Alright, Tron: Legacy comes out on April 5th, which is available in 3D Blu-Ray, which also includes the 2D Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital Copy.

There's also a 2D Blu-Ray, which includes just the DVD. I don't know if there is a DVD only set, but I bet there is.

Tron is also coming out on Blu-Ray and includes the DVD on April 5th.

Then, there's the set I want. It's the Tron: Legacy/ Tron Blu-Ray 5 Disc Combo Pack. It comes with a Collectible Identity Disc Packaging, which is really sweet. I don't own a 3D TV or 3D Blu-Ray, but I frankly don't care. This set is too awesome to pass up on.

I just pre-ordered the movie off of iTunes for $20. It may be expensive, but we are getting an Apple TV soon, so it's fine.

They're producing a new animated series called Tron: Uprising, set between Tron and Tron: Legacy, I believe it's about the uprising against the reign of Clu, the audio sounds good and the animation/visuals looks really nice.

I enjoyed the movie and there were certain aspects of the back story that I felt needed to be fleshed out more, not the mention I wanted to see more of the world and what it's about so I'm looking forwarded to this.

Meh. had too much of a Matrix/Star Wars vibe to it.

None of my friends and/or co-workers liked the film, they all said either the story wasn't good or the concept itself was cheesy.

I thought legacy was an "ok" movie. I was glad that I watched it once, but I doubt that I'll ever bother to re-watch it. The effects were better than the original, but not 30yrs better. They were more like 5, or at most 10 years better. Where I think they really blew it though, was making the whole friggin movie be about the "daddy" issues. After having watched it, I'm surprised it wasn't one of robin williams' recent movies.
