    		 What if we all did something to help create a retrojunk TV station and bring back all the best programs and even commercials. It could start as an internet only station but who knows we might be able to launch on a cable network someday. There is DEFINITELY a demand and market for it. With sites like Justin.tv that let users broadcast content it would be easy. Maybe one or two original series as well but keep it nostalgic. What does everyone think. Let's make this happen.

        		 Most of the retro TV shows are owned by the big corporations like Viacom. Even the smaller productions have been bought up and the companies have exclusive rights to the material. To broadcast them we would have to get approval and pay them royalties for every viewer. There would also be bandwidth cost. This means lots of ads or a subscription site. I'm willing to bet that most would not even allow it as they have their own plans for those shows.

        The commercials would be easier, but we already have enough of those on demand here and on youtube. It could be done, but there would need to be lots of up front capital to make it happen. This means we would have to get a company in the field on board.

          I don't see what bandwidth has to do with a TV station.

          It's possible, but I don't think anybody here (staff or otherwise) has the real motivation make things happen. It's Vertex's site, though, so he can do what he wants with it.
