I remembered when i was 7 years old in the last part of the coolest growing up decade (80s), i watched previews of this on TNT and thought it might look sweet since i love stop motion. I loved it and became a favorite of mine, the special effects amazed me and so did the storyline.

    One of my favorites.

Not trying to piss or your parade dude. I was never a big fan of his. I always loved godzilla when I was a kid. That movie that had king kong and godzilla fighting was cool.

I was around 10 years old when I first saw it. I was spending the night at my cousins' house, and it was late at night. I remember having to periodically go to the bathroom to splash cold water on my face just to stay awake. We laughed at the special effects, which were state-of-the-art in 1933, but we still enjoyed the movie.

This was back when you could still watch good programming on late-night broadcast TV, before infomercials were invented.

Incidentally, Hitler was said to say that King Kong was his favorite movie. Just thought I'd throw that in there as a bit trivia.
