Man this topic brings back alot of memories. Does anyone remember 'Fruit Island Cereal'. I remember the old commercial where the Chief would say 'A yumma yumma'. I also remember the old soda flavored gum. The A&W rootbeer gum with a juice filled center, but I also remember a kind that was shaped like bottles and came in a little cardboard six pack. Or the Bonkers candy where the people would eat it and giant fruit would drop on their head. What about the Cupcakes that already had a bite taken out of them. The crappy BubbleEz bubble gum that came in a little tray. That's enough for now.

Ok I loved O'boises! They were like my favorite chip in the world! I have been searching for years for them. I found some one time Several years ago in Wisconsin. But not since. Tato skins on the other hand do still exist. Keebler no longer makes them but they still have the same flavors and the same packages. I work at a grocery store and I asked the grocery manager if he could find both or either of these potato chips because I hadn't seen them in years, and he found tato skins. I actually see them a lot. In vending machines and I just saw some yesturday at big lots. SO a bit of hope, tato skins are still here.

I loved to eat those I remember they had a bear on the box. My aunt saw them and told me "that damn bear!".

I love New York Seltzer Water. Black cherry was my favorate, and then the lemon lime. I associate that stuff with the songs "The Final Countdown" and "Pop Goes the World". I know that's odd but hey, don't get me started on cereals. "Krispy Kritters." Ha cha cha cha INDUBEDLEY DELICIOUS!

Anyone else remember soda flavored gummy snacks? They were covered in this sugar and were shaped like soda bottles. THey were from the early 90's I think.

Like I said, I still see Jolt every now and then. My friends keep telling me not to drink it so much, lol.

Ontario(Canada) still has fruit roll ups, they have lots of lame gimmicks now but I know they're still around. I might have to buy some... >.>

ok i thought id start a list of old food that is discontinued....

                    cereal:
...apple cinnamon cheerios...(dont they still make these?! i couldve sworn i just saw them!)

...and some cookies from keebler called "sweet spots" where there were 4 sugar cookies in an individually wrapped package, and they had a big ass hershey kiss right in the middle.
(i miss those 'Giggles' cookies... or whatever they were called... that commercial made me laugh so hard everytime i saw it...)

oh and there was this oatmeal with little gummy bear-like characters in it, but the characters were actually like detectives, criminals, whatever. I can actually taste it if i think hard enough.
(i SO remember those! jeeze those were good!)

                    drinks:
New york seltzer (peach was good)(thats what it was called!!! i loved that stuff! peach and cream soda were my favorite!)
                    surge(good stuff!)
                    crystal pepsi(good stuff! miss it)
josta (made by pepsi, weird red color with a panther on the bottle)(i still see this stuff every once in awhile at random... humm...)
hi-c box drinks...ecto cooler flavor (bright green color, named after ghostbusters)...(SLIMER!)

I still see Slush Puppies here and there, soda bottle candy that's shaped like a soda bottle that you bite the top of to get the liquid out, fruit roll-ups,
and franken berry and Boo berry.

I remember multiflavors of TWIX cookies and creme Twix and Peanut Butter!! Still see em every now and then.

Oh my Godddddd I remember New York Seltzer. We had this take and bake pizza place where they had it and I used to get it all the time, root beer flavor of course. I miss that stuff terribly. In the same league, anyone remember Clearly Canadian? It was that clear flavored drink that came in different fruit flavors. Actually I think they still make it, but it looks a lot different than it used to. I remember Crystal Pepsi, haha, that stuff was so retarded.

Wow, I totally forgot about the Ecto Cooler HiC, I used to drink that stuff all the time! Even though it was really disgusting!

Another thing I remember from the early 90's was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Hostess pies they used to have. They looked like the regular pies except they were filled with this green custard filling, strangely delicious, and being a TMNT fan, I bought them a lot. They haven't made those in a long time.

Of course there's the immortal OTTER POPS. They made a comeback in recent days, but they either are or seem quite a lot smaller than the original. I remember one of my friends had a freezer full of those things back in the day, and every now and then I buy some. The originals used to have this lemon flavor, and now they've replaced it with a fruit punch flavor: good move. Haha you can go to Costco and buy a pack of like 800, it's insanity.

                            I remember

                            Burple

Burple was a drink mix that came in a expanding container. It started out small but you had to stretch it and add water to make the drink.Smash it down it sounded like someone burbing.:lol::lol::lol:

The oatmeal with gummi bears in it was called "undercover bears". It came in instant oatmeal packets, that only looked like plain old dry oatmeal before you added the liquid and heated it. But acutally there were sugar coated gummi bears that would appear when you pulled the oatmeal out of the microwave. I remember in the commercial it show, what seemed like, thousands of gummi bears, but in reality, each packet had about 7-10.
I was one of the biggest fans ever of undercover bears!!! I would have eaten it everyday if I could have. They had to discontinue it though, because too many kids were chocking to death on the hidden bears.
"The construction crew demands a new flavor or ice lollie. We're tired of cherry."

Okay, most of us remember and some of us still eat :D Boo Berry, Frankenberry, and Count Chocula... but does anyone remember the fourth one that was only around for a few years before they discontinued it? It was a mulit fruit flavored cereal with marshmellows, like the rest of them. The mascot was a wolf in white overalls with different colored stripes. Nobody that I know remembers it, and I even emailed the company to make sure I wasn't hallucinating. They wrote me back with the name of the cereal, the years it was made and the name of the mascot....but for the life of me I can't remember it right now. I'm gonna look around for the info, but in the meantime does anyone else remember eating it?

UPDATE: It was called Fruit Brute it was made from 1975 to 1983
