Thread: A Truly Rare eBay Find

Recently, I have been making several window-shopping trips to eBay to see what Retro Junk they have for sale. But they had one thing which caught my eye:

Yes folks, this Savage Garden concert tour T-shirt from 2000. Not only has this been worn even once or washed, but this is like new, and in genuine mint condition, making it a truly rare find. Not only that, but exactly at the time they were on tour, I've seen a kid in the same grade as me wear this same exact shirt. As you can see in the second picture (which shows the back of the shirt) on August 19th, they played in Lima, OH, which has been my hometown for my entire life. And come to think of it, I never even got a chance to find that kid on Facebook or Myspace, although I do know his name, which I'm not telling you what it is!

Yeah, seeing I only seen that kid wear it on the first day of school and I'm sure that was the only time I'd seen him wear it. Come to think of it, I didn't even have the money or PayPal to buy the thing nor would I ever afford it, for the fact that it cost 50 bucks.

Now here's another but similar find that I just saw today:

A close-up of the design on the top-left corner of the shirt:

This is an ultra rare find you won't see anywhere else, as it was worn by concert crew members, and is now a challenge to find in mint condition today.

Probably because I don't have a PayPal account, nor will I be able to afford either one, fear of Internet purchasing I'm afraid.

A band that makes The Monkees seem manly and gruff.

Although the band only consisted of two members as The Monkees consisted of four.

heh heh heh, My wife had one of their songs played at our reception ('99)

Just seems odd to think that they fall into the "retro" category now.

Which one of their songs? (I assume "Truly Madly Deeply"?)

They also sang "I Want You". Look it up on YouTube. This group is fairly obscure now but they were pretty popular in the late 90's. I think my aunt still has one of their CDs somewhere unless of course she sold it to Record Exchange a while ago...lol
