Omg One Louder, you got me jumpin' on my bad knee, lol!

Thank you, thank you for the awesome link to "Follow You Follow Me", I absolutely love that song. Much better sound quality than my old link and I love studio session videos the best.

    You've made my day!

    Now here is something different.

This is a song that when I mention to people my age, no one knows what I'm talking about. But when I let them listen to it their faces light-up with recognition.

Growing up on the east coast back in the seventies this song got lots of airtime on many black-owned radio stations. Now I know that there are some retro junkers that get tired of my posting love songs around here, this one is different!

It starts out kinda weak and mushy, but stay with the song - it has a killer preamble to the chorus that for many in my neighborhood became quite a popular phrase, especially with the high school crowd at the time.

I'm betting that some of you have heard this song too.

If not, give it a listen. I think it's one of Gladys Knight's best songs from the early 70's.

I remember when a lot of retro junkers got a good laugh when they found out I didn't know the difference between "Louie Louie" and "Brother Louie".

OK so I'm late learing a few things,

      So here it is,

One of the Biggest of the 70's Big Hit Songs is also one of the saddest songs I've ever heard.

Don't let the harmonizing fool you, this is an extremely sad song.

When I first heard it, it meant nothing to me.
Now I tear-up whenever I hear it in a way that surprises me.
This is what taking others for granted can lead to.

I just had to post this song, just listened to it for the first time, it is my new favourite Genesis track, this live version has special guest Bill Brufford assisting on drums with Phil Collins, this song has such beautiful harmonies. Here is Carpet Crawlers opening with Fly on a windshield http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kddl6avyUY&feature=related

Despite what's happening in the UK, his fans will always have fond memories of Britain's "Mr. 70's". His videos are all over youtube.

there was a time when i could'nt get that song out of my head in a good way, it was like a 70's collection of some kind and just could not stop listening to it, good pick or rather just mentioning it, i am not sure why it popular now maybe because, the younger generation is starting to relize that the older generations had some of the best music and that's why, it comes back through remakes on albums like the mandy moore's coverage, radio disney artisits and bandslam, and in a weird case britney spears...... just to name a few but really I would not think that these songs are old but a kind of genre of music
