            		 It makes a huge difference what era we're talking about. Classic metallica was great, but from the black album onward they've sucked total ass.
            Megadeath on the other hand was always "good", but never really stood out for me. However, megadeath's music doesn't seem to have changed much over time, so now they easily beat metallica.

            Personally, my like or dislike for a group as people has no bearing on whether or not I like them as performers. If a band makes good music, whoTF cares what their political views are, if they're total asswads, or whatever? What bearing does that have on the quality of their music?

            That being said though, I did lose all respect for metallica after they're napster whining. Did it ever occur to them that the reason their sales were dropping was because they were sucking as a band? Of course it couldn't be a flaw with themselves that was causing problems, it -must- be some outside force, like illegal downloads! *rolleyes*

                  You know, is still a close call. Over the years, especially in the 80's, Metallica has slightly better musicianship than Megadeth. Metallica where more melodic in that sense. James Hetfield is a genious in melodic guitar.

                  Megadeth of course has Mustaine. The guitar god/genius. Probably one of the problems they had was the constant change of members wich ultimately affect to cement their status. They manage to mantain themselves but never actually gain the deserved recognition due to lack of exposure. This is not to say they should've go more commercial like Metallica did, they just could've bring more to the table sort to speech.

                  Metallica still have some good stuff but compare to its heyday they suck balls unfortunately. Right now I have to go with Megadeth.
