The Super Game Boy was a game cartridge for the SNES where you could put a Game Boy cartridge in the Super Game Boy and play the Game Boy game on the SNES.

    Did anyone play/have one?

The SGB was cool! I really enjoyed drawing colors or patterns on the screen!

The Super Game Boy made games like Metroid II and Link's Awakening much more fun.

                Super Gameboy must be magic.

Because I freaked Dr. Mario out. I had a chain reaction so long that the starman theme started playing.

Almost had a SGB once. ONCE.

                  It never happened though.

                  :(

It's OK, next time I'll make you listen. I wish that it were in the power of all children to say that to their parents and to know that indeed they would be heard as we were in those wonderful days on Waltons Mountain.Narrator The Waltons (From the Runawa

I had one. It did make Metroid II better to play. My eyes would hurt playing long hours with the GameBoy. The Super GameBoy was really fun too. I remember I took it on a trip to South America and my cousins and his friends had never seen that yet. It was cool to look at their expressions.

if you were even cooler you could've brought a 5 inch tv and your SNES along for the ride and played it on the airplane using batteries

that's a cool thing to do

ps why did it work in south america, I thought S. America was a PAL country ?

oh wait SGB is one of the few things that worked on PAL and NTSC consoles

but did someone try to get a gameboy camera to work on it

LOL yeah I wished I the large TV.

The Super GameBoy worked. It wasn't released yet at that time when I had it. Or people were just poor to buy it. :)

                            I've still got one.
I've tried to put my GB camera in it a couple of times but trying to get the right light conditions can be a pain. got a good few pictures on it though.

                            nonetheless, Super GB was amazing.

I think NTSC devices can work in PAL places like Europe (and vice versa). An NTSC SGB usually can't work when in a PAL system...unless you modify your SNES to do so!

My friends across the street had that! Sadly I didn't have SNES, so my bro and I went over there all the time and played it with our two friends.

I thought the Super Game Boy was great! Not only did you get to play your gameboy games on regular TV, You also got to change the colors of the game to whatever you wanted to instead of the boring greenish gray colors. You also got to choose a border for the game too. I remember if you paused the game for a while, the pictures in the background would start moving too. Anyways, I think there was this one tool that allowed you to draw on the game screen too. lol.. genius
