So the new Gorillaz album is about due for a release and the first video just premiered on Youtube. For those who are interested:

The song is... very 80's. It's sounds slightly more depressing than Demon Days. I wonder what the rest of the album sounds like.
So what do you guys think?

Yeah I've finally had some time to analyse the album and it's definitely pretty good. Empire Ants, Stylo, On Melancholy Hill and Plastic Beach are my favourites so far. That song with Snoop Dogg was completely random though (and Snoop's appearance really wasn't all that necessary).

Most of the songs on the album have catchy tunes. My favourite songs are On Melancholy Hill and Stylo. I was surprised to see Bruce Willis appear in their music video!

"stylo" is in heavy rotation on my iPod. i love the fact that they reached out to bobby womack and mos. pretty cool. i haven't listened to the entire plastic beach but what i've heard so far, it's pretty great.
