Who remembers the Caliburn analog playback system?

Back in 2005 the buzz was hot on the world's most expensive turntable for playing old school vinyl LP's.

Continuum Audio Labs introduced the finest "record player" in the world made up of the combination of the Caliburn turntable, Cobra tonearm and Castellon turntable; thus the ultimate analog playback system.

Back in 2005 the Caliburn-Cobra-Castellon combo system cost $90,000, but the price varied depending on which website you searched. The real price was only revealed to serious inquries directly on Continuum Audio's homesite.

I still don't understand why people didn't just buy a regular turntable and a vintage analog tape player. Even combined, they cost less than that. :?

When I first ran into this in 2006 I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, a record player that cost as much as a house?

All I can say is if they actually sold any of these, I don't want to know about it!
