2 big memories. I was about 6 years old when I got He-Man for the intellivision. I remember freaking out and virtually quitting opening Christmas presents just to play that game. It was so good. It's too bad it's never on any of those "intellivision lives" collections for X-box, etc.

The other one was of course Super Mario 3. I just remember how NO ONE could get ahold of one for Christmas and my parents told me flat out they weren't able to find one... and believe me they looked everywhere. It was the "tickle me elmo" of it's time.
Then Christmas morning hits and my grandpa (who stunned me at the fact he even knew what I nintendo game would look like) gave me it for Christmas. Turns out he got it the day before Christmas Eve at Sears of all places. That was one of my top 10 most memorable Christmas gifts ever.

Another of my favourite happy game-getting moments was FFX.
I bought my PS2 just for that game. though admittedly I boutgh loads of other bits for it at the same time.

Christmas of 1994 was the happy day when, among other toys such as Legos and the Nerf Bow and Arrow, I finally got Sonic & Knuckles for Sega Genesis!

            I've got two:

Christmas 1989... Dragon's Lair for Amiga. My parents, knowing once I got my hands on the game I'd disappear for hours, wisely moved my computer from my bedroom to the family room so I could at least go through the motions of socializing with the clan while playing the game nonstop for hours.

Summer 1991... I had just gotten my brand-spanking new 386DX/33 but I didn't have any games to really show off the machine... almost all games at that point were EGA at best and many didn't even have sound card support. I'd bought Wing Commander mail order a couple weeks earlier and figured it would've arrived by the time I picked up the new PC, but there was no sign of it. Those four days of owning premium hardware with nothing to take advantage of it were pretty rough, but once it arrived, man I was blown away.

So I begged them, literally begged them, for that game, and on Christmas morning we opened all the presents and that wasn't one of them. I was kind of bummed out, but them my mother reached behind her seat and pulled out one more present...which was Sonic Blast 3-D! I was so happy!

              That's so Christmas Story.

I guess for me it would probably be Genesis with Sonic 2 that I got one Christmas (I would have to think a bit to remember which one). I had a GB already, but I so wanted a color, console system, namely the Genesis and I was estatic when I finally got it. I played Sonic 2 a little at a friends house, but I never even saw the boss of Chemical Planet yet, in fact I thought that giant robot from the manual was the boss for that Zone. The day after Christmas I was up early and playing it when I finally beat it and went on to Aquatic Ruins and I remember my heart absolutely racing. Chemical Planet was chalenging enough for me, getting caught in that pink water and everything, and I thought I was in for something even harder.

Also, I can't remember why, I was taking some medication that my mom ground up in apple sauce. I remember sitting in my room all day while playing Sonic 2 and Aladdin while eating drugged up apple sauce and those Dove eggnog bites which you can't get anymore. NOw those were good times.
