Has anybody played this game "The Karate Kid"? It was based on the movie of the same name. I played this game and it was great. It has 4 levels like the "Karate Tournament", "Daniel-San in Okinawa", "The Typhoon Strikes" and the "Last Fight Against Chozen". This game is so short and it was too easy. I've gone through too many bonus stages including the "Swinging Hammer" where you can dodge the hammer without being hit. What happens if you get hit by a hammer, you get "No Bonus". And then came the "Ice Block Break" is where you can break the blocks in all of of 6 including a few of them if your life meter goes up and down. And finally "Chopsticks Fly Catch" is where you can catch six flies in all. I catch 6 flies in 10 seconds. That is way too easy. I played this since I was a kid, but now I've it now. I defeat the last boss and at the end it says "You have successfully guided Daniel-San through all of the challenges and have become a martial arts master." The ending was so short. I love that game to death.

I have that game but I haven't played it in about 10 years. I think it was a mixture of The Karate Kid and The Karate Kid 2.

I remember renting it back when it was released. Barney is right, it was a mixture of KK1 and KK2.

I remember there were mini games that involved you catching flies with chopsticks, as well as meditating correctly before breaking blocks of ice with your karate chop.

what? that game was mega easy! the game starts from where the first movie ended. the bonus stages kicked ass. the crane kick on the pole, the ice chop and the chopstick fly swat. other than that the game sucked.

I didn't have much luck with it either. Though most of the stages were a breeze, I could never get through the last stage and beat Chozen. But then I could never do the hammer swing bonus stage either. One thing I remember is hating games without jump buttons.
