I had a ton of the figures. Hardee's used to give them out in their kids meals. In fact, as of last year, they still were.

I remember the Christmas special. AMong other things it had those two dinosaurs, rock and roll version of "We three Kings", the bells, and the California Raisins version of "Rudolph the Red Nose Rheeindeer(sp?)".

If where being honest ..lets be honest. The raisins where freaking lame. I swear I thought they where lame then and now I know they where. I had a buddy back in the day and his mom had a CA raisin room in there house..Gimme a break. They where singing, dancing, rotten fruit folks.

I think I might have had some of those little figurines you guys are talking about. I remember going to see the California Raisins on ice, believe it or not. It was at the Oakland Coliseum in the late 80's thru early 90's and part of a bunch of shows called Ice Capades. They had like a Super Mario Bros show and a whole bunch of other stuff that I barely remember. But I guess the Smurfs were supposed to be there but they had the Raisins instead and everybody got pissed off, hahahaha. So I guess there are quite a few people who hated the California Raisins. Personally, I don't particularly like them or hate them, they're just kinda eh.

"Honey, you playin' with yer food again?"

I don't think we ever had the California Raisins in Australia, but I remember them for some reason.

We had a similar thing with kiwi fruit, there was a fruit company that packaged their bags of kiwi fruit with plastic figures of kiwi fruit in various outfits and poses.

Yeah, I remember the raisins. Funny thing is they started from a simple raisin commercial and eneded up being a huge success.

I had all the California Raisins albums on cassette when I was a kid. I really liked them

Here's some trivia for ya - their version of 'I Heard it Through the Grapevine' was an actual chart hit (their only hit) reaching #84 on the Billboard Hot 100 on January 23, 1988

I am deranged, but so, so playful!

My grandmother had those things when they first came out. I thought they were cool raisins with cool deep voices. Hey does anyone remember those costumes that they had bought out about these guys? I knew a couple of people who wore them for Halloween one year. Those things look like they would make you lose about 50lbs in day.

My friend went as one for halloween years back. She took a trash bad and cut arm holes in it, stuffed herself, and painted her face black. She did not look quite like a rasin.

I have fond memories of this because I remember when my brother was born the first toy I bought him was a California Raisen figure.
