    		 Hi guys! I've been searching for this kids program which I THINK its called 'Take Off', but maybe I got the title wrongly because I simply cannot find any information regarding it anywhere! Well, the theme song's title is 'Take Off' i think coz it ends with these 2 words.

    so anyway, the show is like this. Its about these group of young adolesence that go around exploring......one episode was about optical illusions, another episode was in a museum, other episodes travel through time.........and in every episode, there will be a segment where this guy writes a detective story and narrates it in his mind, which is acted out by him, but his friends don't know about this writing thing of his.....

    One of the cast was a guy in wheelchair.

    one episode dealt with the issue of racism by travelling back into the past.

    Another episode had beethoven inside......one of the characters communicated to Beethoven via tapping the keyboard.

    Yet another episode, the kids were exploring a circus.

    And, the key icon of this show was this cartoon green ailen-like animal.

    This show was half live action, half animated (with cartoons), and it was very educational

    I think it dealt alot with imagination also....imagining various things which i can't remember now.

    Does anyone know anything about this show? sorry for the vague descriptions but its all I can remember, and it was one of my most favourite kids show.....it was broadcasted on my tv station during the mid 1990s.

        		 oooh I just checked, but its not 123 contact :( also, i think "Take off" belonged to the 1990s......it was kinda 'newer' if i remember correctly.......

                		 I'm from Singapore, and this show was showed in the 1992/1993 period.....Its either an American or Canadian production.....and I'm leaning more towards American.

                Well, I remember that the writer and narrator of the detective stories was the guy in the wheelchair........

                There was this particular episode about time, and it was full of clocks and gears.......I think one or 2 of the characters went into a grandfather's clock and time travelled.

                And all the kids look around 12-14 years old......not young kids. I think in some episodes they would dress up and role play within the show as well.....

                          		 Hi kellentia,

                          Yeah I remember that show. I was reminded of it today; I went to this art exhibition that was so far out I felt like someone in a kids story who goes into some magic realm.
                          Take Off was all abut stuff like that. I grew up in Ireland and they used to show it during the day so if I was sick and couldn't go to school I watched it. I've mentioned it a few times to people but no one seems to remember it.
                          As far as I remember, some of the episodes were quite wacky and used to freak me out a little.
                          If I find a clip or something online I'll post it here.
                          It's nice to see that someone else remembers this show;I wasn't sure if I was getting the title right.

                                		 ahhhhh!! yay finally someone remembersssssss! =D I'm not sure about the title too.......so its really Take Off??? or Take Up....at least that was the name of the theme song.....still can remember how it went.......and no its not "Lift Off', I just checked.

                                i really want to find clips of that show......i really loved it, lol :P

                                  I remember this show aswell, and I have been going crazy trying to find clips of it. It was possibly australian?

                                  I used to watch it if I was sick at home from school. I live in ireland, it used to be on the Den on Network 2.

                                  The theme song used to go "Ahhhhhhhh Take Off! All aboard for..." something something.

                                  Anyone have any luck finding clips? Its even difficult to find any imdb or wiki entry of it. It was DEFINITELY called take-off.

                                        		 "Lift Off" is a very unusually colourful Australian kid's show. Based in an apartment complex somewhere in Sydney, "But who can say just where it is?"(From the memorable and catchy theme song), the show mixes live action and puppetry to form a truly unique experience. As if childhood wasn't wacky enough this show really messed with your psyche. The kids (and adults) wore overly colourful and frilly outfits and even had their own lingo. There were bizarre creatures lurking in every corner, such as a plant with one eyeball and a camera wielding frilled-neck lizard. There was a crazy puppet café from another dimension equipped with outlandish characters and much, much more. I'm not sure if this show was educational or not, there were clichéd lessons filtered into the mad story lines, but that didn't matter because I had such a ball watching it.

                                          		 Nope it's not lift off. There weren't any puppets. It was always just about this bunch of kids that did random yet educational things in wierd fantasy worlds. This is still driving me crazy and I still have the tune stuck in my head. ANYONE??????
