Boba Fett plays a prominent role in the miniseries Dark Empire, where it is revealed that he has survived the Sarlacc and continues his hunt for Han Solo
Ehhh.... damn Fett lol. I hope Solo does/did get him
more so Chewie... Chewie rules...... Lowbacca is cool, too

lol cool
Anyway, I'm reading Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader. Have you read it? I just started and it's really good so far; it's about four weeks after Order 66 (when Palpatine told all the Clone Troopers to kill all the Jedi) and Vader's on his very own Star Destroyer.. awwww lol but it says how there's still a bit of Anakin left in Vader, "like a pain from a phantom limb". It's getting lots better, too...
For anyone who has read the books; random question, I don't know if I've ever asked this, but would it be confusing if you read a book out of order? Like with the Dark Nest books out now. If I read them without having read any of the New Jedi Order's, would that be bad? Or if I read like the fifth book of NJO without having read the one's before it?Michaelangelo: Wise man say, "forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for a late pizza".Are you sure you want to delete this post? The NJO was always meant to be read in order, cos it was a big project where the storyline was hammered out before it, and all the writers had to adhere to that. It's actually pretty cool, no matter what a lot of people say. I read every book as they came out from 1999-2003 and really enjoyed the story.
As for the Dark Nest trilogy, it does reference some plot points from the NJO, but you really don't have to have read the NJO to understand it. It will spoil a lot of the NJO if you read the DN trilogy first, though. Are you sure you want to delete this post? Yes | No - 8 years 7 months ago

i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I believe Chewie died before the Solo/Fett incident...
he's one of my fav characters, mainly because somehow everyone knows what he's saying!
but still, it's just not right!!!
from what i've "researched", Chewie was on a mission w/ Han and the Solo kids for Lando C., and they go to a planet that's about to collide w/ its moon (of course, they didn't know THAT was about to happen!). while they're evacuating the residents, the winds pick up and blow the youngest Solo kid - Anakin - away, so Chewie takes off after him, catches him, and brings him back to the millenium falcon. but then, as soon as anakin was on board, another strong wind blows chewie back, and directly into the path of the planet's falling moon. Han was on the falcon's entry ramp, hoping to lift Chewie up, but Anakin flew the falcon out of the way and to safety, having realized that he couldn't save chewie.
and so our dear ol' Chewie was mashed by a falling moon, although he went out roaring defiently, or so i'm told.
and what's even more sad is that Han grew to resent Anakin, and became an alchoholic for a while because of Chewie's death. everything's forgiven later, but Han never really recovers from his buddy's "expiration".

and no, sewage, i haven't read the "Dark Lord" book; heck, i haven't even heard of it!! i need to keep up...i'm such a slacker.
i'm actually trying to write my own star wars book! i need to figure out a main plot, though. i'm setting it in the New Jedi Order era, and i'm thinking about mentioning the Valley of the Jedi and so on. but i don't really have a good plot. i have main characters - Jedi cousins - who've become pirates/smugglers for the New Republic...i just need to figure out what's going to happen and so on.
ya got any bright ideas?
(if this all works out, and this book o' mine gets published, ha ha ha, i'll be sure to mention/thank any help i recieved from any retrojunkies!
)

Chewbacca also plays an important role In the 1999 novel Vector Prime by R.A. Salvatore (the first in the New Jedi Order series). However, the story is Chewbacca's final adventure, since the Wookiee actually dies. The event occurs when Chewbacca sacrifices his own life to save that of Han's son Anakin from a collision between the planet Sernpidal and one of its moons. The collision is caused by a Yuuzhan Vong weapon placed on the planet that draws the moon to its fatefull collision with Sernpidal. Afterward, the other core Star Wars characters are emotionally crushed by the loss, and Han Solo even seeks refuge for a time among alcohol and the stars. A rift also opens between Han and his son Anakin, as he holds the boy responsible for Chewie's death.
Lumpawaroo and Lowbacca (Chewie's nephew, who trained with Han's twin children at Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy) offered to assume Chewbacca's life debt to Han; Han eventually persuaded them otherwise. Are you sure you want to delete this post? Yes | No - 8 years 7 months ago

When does this happen?? Wookiee Jedi are awesome... they seem like the outcasts compared to the majority of Human Jedi. I also liked Lowie's translator (name totally escaped me for the moment...). It was cool seeing how a Wookiee could be more than just another genius with machines and such.Michaelangelo: Wise man say, "forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for a late pizza".Are you sure you want to delete this post? Wow, lucky to find this thread!
Yeah, I've read Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader, and I thought it was sweet. I also have these other books, which I've read and enjoyed, so if you have questions hopefully I can help fill in.
Labyrinth of Evil
Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader
Shadows of the Empire
The Mandalorian Armor: Bounty Hunter Wars Book 1
Slave Ship: Bounty Hunter Wars Book 2
Hard Merchandise: Bounty Hunter Wars Book 3
Tales of the Bounty Hunters
Tales from Jabba's Palace
Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina
Tales from the Empire
Tales from the New Republic
Republic Commando: Hard Contact
I really enjoyed the Republic Commando novel, but have yet to read the sequel Shatterpoint. I'm really looking forward to it. I also really like the Tales books, because they give you a myriad of unique perspectives from different characters in the Star Wars universe and give you a great feel for the moments written that revolve around what happened in the films. Are you sure you want to delete this post? Knowing Lucas I'm SURE they wrote a book on his exile there.
