Why Was Mortal Kombat Better Than Street Fighter?

System 5 years 1 month ago Posts: 74809	MK was better because it had better graphics, the game play was better, better and cooler characters, the fatalities, etc. I remember after playing Mortal Kombat II for a while, I played Street Fighter II for a change and it seemed so slow and dull compared to MKII.

bat0h0lic 5 years 1 month ago Posts: 240	I hated the fact that you couldn't pull off moves as easy as Street Fighter. It was always back, hold these buttons down, let one go I mostly played MK on the consoles. I didn't have the patience to figure moves out, and have my arse handed to me

I still remember that rumor going around about some cheat where you could play as Street Fighter characters on Mortal Kombat backgrounds.

shorty spice 5 years 14 days ago Posts: 94	I agree with the comment that if MK didn't have the fatalities it wouldn't be as popular. I was a SF 2 fanatic. But after playing MK II that was all it took. Once that SF Alpha and whatever else came out I stopped playing. I like both but I'm an MK kind of girl.

SbtbNut 5 years 14 days ago Posts: 227	Fatalities, Stage fatalities, friendships,etc.. Street Fighter had non of these. The graphics were better and just the sound and overal play of the game was better. Street Fighter is fun but I still like MK for the combo's as well another underated game that is fun is Killer Instinct.
