I'm sure lots of you have done this, how did you edit wikipedia pages for a quick laugh.

A friend of mine said that this show I never heard of called Ben 10 had the Metal Gear Solid's Campell as one of the main characters. So as a joke on wikipedia, I started putting radomly on the Ben 10 page, "SNAKE!!!! SNAKE!!!! SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKEEEEEEE!!!!!!" as a joke on who could make the funnier wikipedia editing. Other great ones were the page on urine, saying "Goes down easier than Desprite Housewives"

Come on, say how you edit it.

i havent edited anything. but i can say i stopped relying on it for school research assignments after teachers and students told me that anybody can change it. but when i did use it, it helped give me something to write down on a paper so i had something to turn in the next day. ahh memories of the sleepless-high-school-procrastination-nights. i should start a thread on that topic

If it was actually a great site, they wouldn't let that sort of thing happen. Wikipedia sucks, it's the birthplace of crap rumors, in particular for Ed Edd n Eddy, and what with me owning the worlds biggest fan site (applause plz) I'm the one who gets spammed by n00bs who want to know it it's true or not -_-.

I do believe this counts as flamebait.

                Oh.....
I thought this might have gone diffrently, but I am sorry to bring this topic up. I thought it wouldn't have that much harm because that site fixes things within seconds with automatic things. I apoplogise.

I don't think that site can "fix itself automatically", you just give the human part extra work.

Really? Oh god! I thought it was a machine that erased it within a couple of seconds. Oh...now I feel bad.

No, there are no machines, every thing somebody posts up there thinking they're going to be cute by screwing up someone else's hard work requires another GOOD user to come in behind them and clean up their mess.

Wikipedia only works as long as people don't act like 3 year olds with a blank wall and a crayon on it.

If you don't double check everything you put up on there to make sure what you are saying is 100% correct, then don't even touch the Edit button.

                      Wikipedia is not a toy.

Yeah a lot of the wrestlers profile pages are messed up, and so are the US government ones too.

Eh.... don't worry about it so much it's just a little fun. There's loads more sites out there... that does seem pretty amusing with the whole Metal Gear thing

I wrote an article on Wikipedia several months ago about the dead Carolina Circle Mall. It was deleted about a week later. They said that an old defunct mall doesn't belong on that site.

Well, if you need help with the classics its pretty accurate. I think Wikipedia should have an editor for the pages submitted into the areas of science/literature/history.
