Apparently Jackson stole This Is It from Paul Anka. Anka will now get 50% of all revenue.

There is a difference between covering a song and stealing a song. He covered the song from Little Richard.

He and his four older brothers (his youngest bro, Randy - not to be confused with the American Idol judge of the same name - joined when Jermaine left) - together forming the Jackson 5ive - made a career out of covering other people's songs, like "Little Bitty Pretty One" by Bobby Day and first popularized by Thurston Harris in 1957, and several older Motown songs. Also: one of MJ's first solo singles, from 1972, was another Bobby Day cover, "Rockin' Robin."
"I am such a purist for old information on anything '70s and '80s."

Yes, but they gave credit. There is a difference. If you give credit, its okay. If you don't its theft.

Technically, he co-wrote it. He also didn't release it, his estate did. It's not really stealing if a song that was half his anyways was released after his death. If anyone's to blame, it's his family for trying to make some quick cash.
