so i thought the new movie was pretty damn good and mos def, sam rockwell and martin freeman were perfect together and i know it didnt hold completly true to the book , but that was douglas' decision too, so what do you al lthink about it?

I haven't seen the new movie yet, but I plan too. I never read the books either. I did see the old BBC Television production though. I liked it. Not as much as Red Dwarf, but enough to want to see the movie.

I feel the same way, Kray, that's why I like to see for myself. Four of my friends seen it and they say its stupid. The local movie critics say not to waste your money, but then again what do movie critics really know? I think it looks good myself. I think I will will try to go this weekend.

no it isn't like spaceballs at all! it really has a monty python tone to it especially in the beginning when the dolphins are singin "so long and thanks for all the fish" but then it becomes its own movie entirely

I got to see it yesterday, I never read the book but I saw most of the old movie they had. It's quite different from the old movie, but I personallylike the new one so much better.
