                  		 My wife has a nice collection of anime cels from back when she was big into it. Before America became saturated with the whole anime fad, cels for the old Japanese-exclusive series were bought and sold much like any other collectible item. However, the rarest of pieces (cels are art, mind you) still can garner a hefty reward if sold to a good buyer.

                  Nowadays, according to her, since computers more or less take care of all the animation for modern anime, the need for using cels has nearly vanished.
