Oranges. I'm not joking, me and two mates went out last year and some stupid twat gave us oranges.
I can't think of anything worth putting as a signature.

She may have ran out of candy. That happened a few times at our house and once my mom was forced to give out fruit. She would send me out trick or treating to get more candy or if I already had some she would start handing mine out.

Like some of you, I also got the toothbrush guy. I also hated jelly beans of any kind (still do). I loved Mary Janes (the peanut butter taffy) but no one else did. I also hated those nasty bottle caps and wax soda bottles....EW!

i will never forget the play doh one year{i was like 8 or 9 and i remember thinking wtf am i gonna do with a mini thing of playdoh} those pretzels were always yr round crap. i was never a carer for the sweet tarts and wonka sweet n sour stuff but i always managed to have a bag full of them. i hated maryjanes and would always trade those for the razzles!!!i never got the infamous dentist giving out toothbrushes thank god!!!!i got a keebler elf cracker pack once they went along side the lil bags of chips. i never got fruit that wasnt like dipped into a bunch of chocolate or caramel, but we never got to eat anything back then that someone made in there house{cant say i blame the folks} i think by far the worst one ever though had to be the last yr stale non minty candy canes{that was not appetizing whatsoever!!!!!!!i would have prefered eating a whole bag of that candy corn crap to my self then eat a fuckin yr old candy cane!!!!

Wha....what's a kid going to do with a tampon? Heck, what I want to know is what did Mom say when she spotted it in your bag?

The worst thing I ever got was when I went to this one house and the lady there put what looked like a folded up $20 bill in my pillowcase sack. I got home, excited to show off the cash, only to discover it was a religious paper made to look like cash. It even said "Jesus is disappointed in you."

We skipped that house after that.

I was never big on the Mary Janes or those caramel squares wrapped in clear plastic. Come to think of it, they're probably still sitting hidden away in my mom's antique jar to this day! lol
Oh yeah, and I used to like candy corn, but then it got too sweet for me so I stopped liking it when I got it in my bag.

I never got a toothbrush or fruit except for the occasional box of raisins which wasn't so bad. In fact, I usually came home with a huge bag of candy because I was one of the very few kids who trick or treated in the development instead of someplace where the houses were closer together. I don't want to brag, but it was pretty smart. All the old people were so happy to see trick-or-treaters after hardly seeing anyone that they let you take big handfuls of candy. I also got quite a few half-dollars and homemade treats from the older ladies that my parents knew as well. You just don't see that anymore, which is sad because cookies on Halloween always taste better. And speaking of bests and worsts, you would think that if it snowed on Halloween, it would be the worst ever, but for me that was my best Halloween ever.
Recipe for nostalgia: Mix 80's and 90's culture. Stir in some good memories. Add a dash of reflection. Mixture should now taste bittersweet. Shake well and enjoy!

The same night that me and my mates were given oranges, we went to the local church because Dan said there was some special thing going on there. All we got was leaflets about the meaning of Halloween and what time mass is

Those little square toffees they were impossible to get out of the wrappers and they stuck to your teeth like crazy. Cherry Blasters those candies totally made the roof of my mouth sore. My sisters and I would always trade candies though so I ended up with all of the candies that they didn't like. The black jellybeans were an absolute must have for me.
