Okay, anyone see the debut of this movie last night on SyFy?

It was GOOOOOD. I didn't have much expectations, but they did a damn good job on it. It has to be one of the best things SyFy has done. I don't know if that's saying much, cause most of their movies are cheesy and redundant. They did everything right with it. They didn't fuck it all up, the kids are creepy in it, there is more kids being actually killed in this. The main actor is good. Malachai was cast great.

Wasn't that thrilled when i heard about this remake around last year, but i was proven wrong. It's good, plain and simple. I love the original, but i wouldn't mind getting this at all. It's closer to the short novel that Stephen King did. They stuff that they added in, worked much better than what the original changed and/or added in i thought.

Although the original has more nostalgic sentiments around it personally, i'm definitely buying this when it comes on DVD.

An unrated and uncensored comes out on dvd October 6th.

It can stand with the original i think. Good remake.

On another note, did anyone see the Book Of Blood movie they debuted last sunday, on Syfy? Based on some Clive Barker shorts. Anyone see it? I watched some of it but feel asleep. I seen it at wal-mart already on dvd though. So i think i might want to check it out. Just cause it is, even if loosely, based on two Barker shorts.

It starts off a with Issac and the kids killing a pig in ritual sacrifice for god. With Issac speaking about religious dogma, he who walks behind the rows, etc...

than it goes and cuts to the kid being hit by the car by the main characters. Its kinda slow after that. Once they get into Gatlin though, it picks up very very nicely.

Nice! I remember being a kid...and Children of The Corn was one of the few horror films I couldn't watch. Really enjoyed it once I got older though.

cool good to hear if its on again ill check it out. I just get the get a kick out of the low buget quality most of the originals have.I forgot which won it was with the title but, there was this scifi movie in which the dinosaurs tore apart a man. The blood effect was so bad it looked like gravy.

The Soup on E! showed that before. They always rag on SyFy movies, lol.

The budget on this is very very good for SyFy, i was cringing as it started, hoping it would be horrid. It's pretty standard though. Nothing really cheesy in any of the deaths/kills.

It was easy to not fuck it up though. Whole film takes place in bumfuck ville nebraska. Not like dinosaurs and abdominal snowman with shitty CGI need in this film. Some CGI towards the end though. NOTHING like that though.

you mention the abdominal snowman, man I remember that one its so cartoonish it was abismal. Yet, they funnying is sometimes the acting is more wooden than the effects, I had a question besides the scifi one when was the last corn movie made?

Last COTC film made was in 2001. The seventh in the films series.

I kinda liked it but I liked the original actor for Isaac (John Franklin) better
