    		 Any fans of Chris Farley? One of the funniest people on earth who was hated by critics for no reason and was really really hated by Gene Siskel. Any of you have a favorite Chris Farley moment from SNL and a favorite Chris Farley movie?

        There's something that has been bugging me for years and I would like you guys to help me. Remember the "Flintstones" movie from 1994? People told me that I was crazy, but I couldn't believe it when John Goodman was selected as "Fred". I was so sure that Chris Farley would have made a wonderful "Fred" if he had been given a chance.

        Now that all of these years have passed, I still think Chris Farley was a natural for "Fred Flintstone", and I bet the movie would have taken on a whole new appeal for audiences.

        But maybe I'm overlooking the way entertainment "big-shots" treated Chris. Sure I could surf the web to learn more about him, but I would rather hear from Retro Junk members for any opinions on Chris Farley.

          		 He might have made a good Fred Flintstone, especially with the yelling and screaming, but I guess the producers didn't think he was perfect. Then again they wanted to give the roll to a big name like John Goodman. I don't know, Hollywood can give crap to people like Chris sometimes because of his weight. If he was still alive I would hope Chris could have gotten better breaks in movies. RIP Chris Farley.

            		 For some strange reason, the selection of Goodman to be "Fred" felt like a giant door closing on Chris. I sorta knew that very few "big" roles would be available to him. I didn't want Chris to do "Tommy Boy" forever.

            Even after his death, it seems that Chris' fans are the only ones that believed in him.

              		 I think another problem was that many producers thought Chris was just trying to be like John Belushi with the whole fat man doing physical comedy. And I heard that many thought that Chris was not a funny guy. They just didn't take him seriously.
