I took a little bit adventage of the whole "black friday sales" at a used DVD store I usually buy a lot of DVDs from (since you know used is cheaper) and got two DVDs super cheap, which I really liked, I did not like however having to wait in the longest line of my life, but that's a story for another time.
Castle in the Sky-Or as some may call it.Laputa: Castle in the Sky. The reason I got it is because I'm still wanting to watch more of the work of Hayal Miyazaki, with the sale this DVD only cost my a cool 5 bucks, which is how much I paid for my first Miyazaki DVD: Porco Russo. Of course it's released though Disney, which is all the better for me being that I do love Disney overall. Hayao Miyazaki makes such amazing movies, I'm almost ashame to admit that I'm only starting to become a fan of his, hopefully I'll find more of his DVD down the road.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Season five-Needless to say, I love cartoons and I'm still on my Ninja turtle kick after wacthing that amazing "made for TV movie" Turtles Forever last week wanting to relive that key part of my childhood again. This is of course the 1987 cartoon series.I love the packaging for this set, it's the one that comes in a Pizza box, sadly though since it is used, my package is a bit rough up. So far I've only checked out one episode, which was "Donatello's Badd Time" and it was pretty weak with lame Hillbilly villains and the bonus features, I've really enjoy the The Turtles: A Ninjatastic Look Back feature and the Under the Shell: Usagi Yojimbo feature (I like Usagi as well). The Under the Shell: Baxter Stockman was pretty weak though. Looking forward to watching more of this set and now I'm just wanting to add the 03 2K3 TMNT series to my collection. Don't get me wrong of course I love the 87 turtles, but after awhile, I want some turtles that a bit darker, . I hope to get the whole set for both TMNT verisons, myself. Oh plus this 3 disc set only cost me $7.50, just can't beat that.
