there's a rose's store at my old hometown that has the old foxkids collector cards and a few sets of yugioh and pokemon cards, though the manager is too lazy to get the machine fixed, because it's been eating quarters

To me the best coin machine prizes always were those little plastic ninjas and sticky hands and eyeballs. Too bad most of the time those sticky hands and eyeballs became furry hands and eyeballs if you dropped them on the carpet too much...lol

Man, I used to LIVE for those prize dispensers! Those were awesome! I'm gonna go rummage through my change jugs and make an "emergency" supermarket run!

i've noticed over the years that the prizes advertised are very rarely in the actual machine. there's one down the street from me that still has an Otto Rocket keychain advertised but it dispenses nothing but miniature whistles.

I live for those machines any time I go somewhere that has them! Most recently, I got two small rubber bouncy balls and a black cord bracelet with a silver star-shaped charm attached to it. I even have a large collection of rubber bouncy balls from those quarter prize dispensers as well.

I sometimes randomly still throw a quarter in from time to time but I remember back in the day getting those big stickers, those pacifier things and those eggs with a surprise in it.
