Although the producing studio, Disney, still barely made a profit from this one, Dinosaur is still incredible and still great and still awesome (thanks to its blend of all CGI characters with live action scenery). But what would you guys all think of the 2000 Disney Animated Feature, Dinosaur, if it would be reimagined and reinvented as Disney's Dinosaur Redux, if it had any of these changes made to it.
Presentation Remix:
1. Variable aspect ratio for Dinosaur Redux (kinda like in the Dark Knight Blu-Ray Disc release) ranging from 2.35:1 to 1.44:1 (for some select scenes shot using IMAX technology).
2. A possible Disney Digital 3-D release as well as traditional and IMAX compatable releases.
3. 12 minutes of Overture, Intermission, and Entr'acte between the 2 acts of the Redux version
4. A running time of 220 minutes (if the intermission, overture, and entr'acte is not included)
Film Remix:
1. Scenes like the opening attack scene and the Monster Cloud scene should be played without James Newton Howard's background music.
2. The Carnotaurs in the original 2000 movie will be replaced with new T-Rex villains.
3. The Lost Mosasaur scene will be restored and fully animated as well as a never-realized fight scene between Aladar and Kron in front of a Volcano.
4. The Herd will now be more massive, with dinosaurs ranging from a small dinosaur like Compsognathus to a giant sauropod like more Brachiosaurs or so.
5. The Opening Asteroid scene that supposed to open Disney's Dinosaur (but cut from the movie because of a similar opening that Michael Bay's Armageddon got) will be reinstated
6. New locations will be added, including more northern-type environments (including those in a country like New Zealand, especially where background plates for the Herd's trek (especially through the mountains) will be filmed)
7. Dinosaurs like the Oviraptor and the Velociraptors will now be more feathered.
8. New scenes of Aladar's childhood will be revealed (including Aladar's friendship with Cain or so)
9. Some or Many scenes will be newly enhanced (because of the advances in VFX and Animation technology)
10. The story will be much stronger, much darker, and much grittier than that of the original 2000 film.
Or how about this. What would you all think of Disney's Dinosaur if another reinvention/reimagining of the movie will be made, sticking 100% close to the Disney's Dinosaur as it was originally concieved and intended by Paul Verhoeven, Phil Tippett, and Walon Green but in ways not possible in 1987 or 1988.
Which version of this would like to choose and which one will be better? The Redux Version, or The Walon Green Cut (which represents 100% of Disney's Dinosaur as it was originally concieved and intended by Paul Verhoeven, Phil Tippett, and Walon Green back in 1987 or 198 ? Well, any thoughts, opinions, and predictions?
Thanks.
