Since the Euro currency was first put into use in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, Greece, Austria and a whole host of other European countries on new year's day 2002, and you have vacationed in any of those countries since then, can you remember the first thing you bought using the currency (in any of the countries which have been using it since then, and still do as to this day and beyond) ?
When my family and I went on vacation in France the Summer of 2002, at some point, my mom got me the Ice Age Game Boy Advance game (based on the movie of the same name) while we were there, making it the first thing bought for me with the currency.
A little later on during the same vacation, my family and I found a 2nd hand game store and I made my first own Euro purchases for myself: a few Game Gear and Mega Drive games.
Here's exactly what I bought that day:
Wonder Boy (Game Gear)
Sonic 2 in 1 (Sonic The Hedgehog 2/Sonic Spinball) (Game Gear)
and a (real, not bootleg) 6 in 1 Mega Drive cartridge with the following on it:
Sega Soccer (aka World Championship Soccer/World Cup Italia '90)
Super Monaco GP
Columns
Sonic The Hedgehog
Streets Of Rage
The Revenge Of Shinobi
what about you?
