Well, before I could ever make my Dexter's Odyssey masterpiece or so, I'll make one of, if not, my most ambitious project yet, perhaps the most ambitious dinosaur-related animated cartoon feature film project since Don Bluth's Land Before Time and the Rite of Spring segment in Disney's Fantasia (1940); a fable-like dinosaur adventure (combining 2D Traditional Hand Drawn Animation with computer-aided/assisted effects or so) falling somewhere between the dinosaurs of the Jurassic Park movies and Walking with Dinosaurs, the Rite of Spring scene in Fantasia, The original Land Before Time movie, Disney's Dinosaur, the stylized graphics of Dexter's Laboratory, the Powerpuff Girls and even Samurai Jack, and of course, the natural worlds of Disney's Bambi and the Lion King.
I think I will bring opulent 2D hand drawn animation and dinosaurs back together for the first time since the Land Before Time in 1988 and nearly 50 years earlier, Fantasia in 1940. It's not gonna be expensive or so, It'll take a very long time to make or so, but it'll equal the revered luxurious animation of Disney animated films past and present as well as stylized Cartoon Network shows like Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, and Samurai Jack, as well as the computer effects in Disney's Tarzan and of course, those in the 1998 DreamWorks film, The Prince of Egypt. The cartoon dinosaurs will take shape through endless visits to natural history museums, examinations of dinosaur fossils and reconstructions and even studies of dinosaur art past and present. In addition, modern animals like elephants, giraffes, rhinos, birds, and others, will provide references for my dinosaur cartoon movie, providing clues to the dinosaurs' movements, behaviors, etc.
Being a 2D traditionally animated feature film project, my dinosaur cartoon would have to be completely digitally assisted and aided, with traditional and computerized backgrounds, even lots of digitally manipulated scenes and effects which will represent the highest state of the art in a traditionally animated film. In all, millions and millions of drawings or so and tens of thousands and thousands of digitally painted animation cels will be required to complete my animated dinosaur cartoon.
When completed, my animated dinosaur cartoon will be submitted for a festival like the Sundance Film Festival or so, and my animated dinosaur cartoon will be made in the 'Scope aspect ratio of 2.35:1 or so. So, what would my animated dinosaur cartoon would turn out if completed or so according to plan? Would it be as great as Disney movies past and present like Bambi and Lion King or so (as well as non-Disney movies like Prince of Egypt and Iron Giant) or awesome or kickass or what? What would you think of my animated dinosaur cartoon movie if it'll ever be complete? Well, your thoughts, opinions, or predictions?
