Dawg 5 years 5 months ago Posts: 484	This was late 90's, wasn't it? I remember that this was one of my favorites when it came out. It may look like a fruit-loops cereal flavored like chocolate... because it essentially was. The marshmallows were a bonus, but the cereal was really great. There were two that I enjoyed during that time... Oreo O's and Mud & Bugs. Mud & Bugs was from Lion King's Timon & Pumba. Too bad both are no longer in existance.

I went through the same thing with Cookie Crisp--I was just so excited to be eating cookies for breakfast, I managed to overlook the cardboardy taste. Reeses puffs, though, those were the real thing.

Because they know people will still buy it. They save money using less cereal and a smaller box and up the price. But we the consumers will still continue to buy, so they profit. They mostly do it to the best selling cereal brands. Because we will just straight for the ones we want.

tyrusspunk 5 years 4 months ago Posts: 212	I loved the taste of the original ones. According to Wikipedia mashmellows werent added until 2001. Of course i think all cereals by Kelloggs/Post went downhill in the mid 2000s when they made them healthier or so they say. Either that or my taste buds have changed when it comes to cereal. Lucky Charms, etc which were so sugary when i was a kid now taste terrible to me. The only brand that still tastes the same is the Capn Crunch products which arent made by the big 2 cereal companies, theyre made by Quaker Oats. I buy them over Post/Kellogs now.
