      		 I was only banned for about a week, but I've taken a solemn vow never to copy from Wiki again. I know what I did was stupid, but if I think of something I really want to write about, I can write original work. A couple of days before I was banned, I submitted a more personal article. I actually spent a great deal of my ban time making drafts for different topics that were coming to my head, but I don't understand something: If I'm no longer banned and allowed to comment, post, and even manage my articles, why is my profile still not visible?

        It takes some time for the ban status to disappear.

            		 I doubt it's because an article is well-written, more because it's all been said before. Look how many there are, some are just lame but a lot of them are redundant.

                  		 I'm still surprised when people think they can get away with plagiarism. It only takes a second to check an article on Google to see if it's copied.

                  This one is definitely plagiarized. I called the guy out twice in the comments:

                    Yeah, you can usually tell it's plagarized if it sounds too much like a wikipedia entry instead of somebody's own memories and why they liked whatever they're writing about. If it sounds like a wiki article it probably is.

                            		 It's just an article. I don't think it is worth banning someone because they copied someone else in the "dear diary" section of the site.
