So, everyone had pretty much written off Dexter's Laboratory after the newer, 3rd and 4th seasons of the show. But if I ever make the Dexter's Odyssey project, I wanted my Dexter's Odyssey project to be great and much, much better than the new seasons of Dexter's Laboratory and than the recent hordes of remakes and live action adaptations of cartoons that Hollywood have put out, i.e., Scooby Doo (2002), Garfield (2004), Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007), The 2008 Remake of the Day the Earth stood still (1951), etc., etc., etc.

Dexter's Laboratory used to be good between 1996 and the time the Ego Trip movie aired on Cartoon Network, but after that, Dexter suffered terrible treatments including changes in character/animation/background designs, alternative storylines and altered character backgrounds, and even Dexter's new voice, Candi Milo.

But hopefully, if I'll ever make my Dexter's Odyssey project (which will be planned as a film project production combining live action with CGI, 2D traditional hand drawn animation, animatronics, makeup and puppetry, Special and Visual Effects wizardry both old and new, live action, miniature model sets, and digital environments and matte paintings, etc., in a similar manner to Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings films, Jurassic Park, Peter Jackson's King Kong, 300, The Dark Knight, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, James Cameron's upcoming Avatar (2009) and even Who Framed Roger Rabbit among other works and filmed partially ) on 24-P HD Digital Video, HD Digital 3D stereoscopic video, and even the large 15/70mm IMAX format, but composed in a 2.40:1 aspect ratio), I'll do my best to get it all right, by doing away with the problems inflicted on Dexter's Laboratory (including Mandark's hippie parents), and by taking the original Dexter's Lab and Powerpuff Girls characters (especially Mandark's one-time sister, Olga Lalavava, and Dee Dee's friends, Lee Lee and Mee Mee) and the original character designs, look, style, depth, flavor, animation art style and graphics, etc. (especially those from the first 2 seasons of Dexter's Lab, the Ego Trip movie that you're talking about, and even the Powerpuff Girls Movie), and add a better storyline (in the form of a tale of such sweeping and mammoth epic length, scale, and grandeur, that it would take a number of films made back-to-back and at the same time to tell the epic and complex story similar to, using the motifs of, and on the level and scale and grandeur of Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc., but with a gritty realism and a historical regard for the fantasy and science fiction and cartoon elements or so), etc.

Anyway, which one is absolutely better for now?

    Either This....

    or that?

How do you compare or contrast the Old and the new Dexter's Laboratory? Which one is good? Which one is bad? Which one is better? and which one is not better?

    You decide!

Yep. The new Dexter's Laboratory refers to the 2001-2003 episodes made after Genndy Tartakovsky left the show.
