    		 OK, this is going on ever since Steven Spielberg's Jaws opened in 1975 and since George Lucas' original Star Wars movie opened in 1977, but what is the big season to open movies as of today? What is the second time to release your movies?

        		 Yeah gotta love the summer blockbusters. Funny thing is though since these days there are so many big movies coming out every year the summer seems to now start in May.

          		 I think every Star Wars being released in May is more of a tradition than a marketing strategy. I mean, after the first one, you could release a Star Wars film in late August and not have it affect sales.

          That said, June and July seem to be the best, since just about everybody's off from school/work sometime during that period.
