Most of the game rumors I heard were mainly from the N64/PSX days.

      - Aeris could be resurrected in Final Fantasy VII

      - The triforce as well as a secret blade beam attack could be obtained in Zelda OoT.

      - Luigi or even the Koopa Kids could be found in secret hidden areas.

      - Sonia would fight naked in Mortal Kombat, or a secret swearing and blood code in the SNES version (while I'm on the subject of nudity, I have yet to see any codes involving nudity that actually works.)

Or course, none of these ended up true. It was a good hunt while it lasted however. :)

So apparently you didn't collect all of the 120 stars. Before collecting all of the stars, there is a grid near the beach on the ground. After getting all of the stars the grid is gone and you are able to get to the hole, which is a cannon.... And now you could shoot Mario into the top of the castle. Yoshi is up there and gives you 100 lives...Plus after doing this, when you do a triple jump Mario resembles a ball during the jump....And he also sparkles while doing this....

I remember a rumor from a friend told me about about SUPER CASTLEVANIA IV ( SNES ). He once told me there was a "secret passage" in level six. Once you go through the floor you'll enter another room and see a man with a dog. The dog will attack you, if you kill it the man will drop to his knees, put his hands over his face and cry then disapear. I'm not sure if this rumor is true. Since I don't have the game nor the system anymore I can't prove it to myself nor anyone else.

But, now that I have the internet I have proof that this rumor is true!

I Too was caught up in the Aeris ressurection one as well.
In a way it was true..you could have Aeris again..but with a gameshark or something but she wasn't anythin special to the story,..she'd just be there like a background character and the story didn't change,....

But anyways I remmeber one i though was real....where you had tos earch the ocean for her materia she dropped when she was killed,...I remmeber trying to find that thing forever.

OK more BS I thought of:

I once read the GameCube would have all the capabilities to play all your old systems using legit carts (ports dedicated to N64, NES, SNES, ect)

Called nintendo myself and asked, and they said it was bs (not exactly, but close enough :P)

I remember hearing that there were some secret items/weapons in the Legend of Zelda, such as a skull from the graveyard.

Yeah, I remember that rumor. But, the rumor to turn your master sword gold is true.

since when is there a master sword in original LoZ anyway

also if it's supposed to be a master sword, why are there 1 or 2 stronger swords waiting for your arrival

The main ones were trying to resurrect aeris of FFVII and capturing mew on pokemon.
both were complete nosence. Aeris can NOT be revived and you can only get mew via live events and cheat cartridges.
The only other on I remember was the numerous ones about playing a Sonic the Hedgehog in ANY sega game by plugin that game into Sonic and Knuckles.

That would take the mind of god to come up with something that would fit ALL 3 cart types without making the GC look ugly anyway.

PS Its called the Magical Sword, not the Master Sword. That didnt come until Link To The Past.

Yeah, the sad thing is, not even Nintendo themselves could combine the NES and SNES in one...
