Where i go (Temple University) its listed under "religion," as well. I really like the class. My prof. taught it in two sections.
The first half was on dealing with death and dying in America, discussing things such as greiving, the "5 stages" of death (and if there even is such a thing), dying in hospitals vs. dying at home ("old world" vs. "new world" death and dying practices), illness and disease, suicide, physician assisted suicide, caring for a dying person, etc.
The second half is mainly on religious practices: Ancient Mesopotamia, Ancient Greece, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hindu practice, Chinese and Japenese philosophies, African religions, etc.
I think this was a very cool class. If you're interested in anything that deals with stuff, you'll like it.
