Just curious if anyone out there collected limited edition sodas or ones that just never really took off.

No, but my brother collected a bunch of soda cans from around 2000. He has Phantom Menace-themed ones, one with Bart Simpson, and a few others. Most of them are promotions.

I remember one day one of them exploded just from being warm for so long... it's only a matter of time before the others do.

I just started in the last year but don't have anything too rare. The wife wants me to buy a crystal pepsi but she'd likely open it and drink it.

Yes, because obviously that's why I put that in my post, I was trying to teach people that...

Not soda bottles, but I have a marquee display menu like you'd see at a restaraunt that has a Coca Cola logo on it. I wanna post a pic but can't figure out how. Anyone wanna help?

I never collected any soda bottles or cans but my uncle used to collect them. He had four unopened soda bottles, two of them were made back in 1982 and the other two were made back in 1989 and they all had Penn State logos on them since my uncle was a big Penn State fan. Right now I have them because my uncle wanted to give them to me before he died and he died back in 2003.

I have some unopened LOTR Dr. Pepper Sunkist cans, and a few X2 Dr. Pepper cans. The only other thing close is I also collect pictures of old sodas.

I actually started saving empty soda cans around the late 90's/early 00's. I guess I decided to hold onto a few of them because I know how much the designs on the cans can change over the years for different types of soda, so I wanted to have some old cans to look back at and see what they used to look like. Even though all the cans I have are only around 10 years old, they already look a lot different than the cans now...especially the ones I have for Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Mt. Dew, and Sprite. Coke is pretty much the only can that hardly ever changes.

Here ya go. As far as I know I'm the only one with an unopened one. The can is over 25 years old and still has some Pepsi in it. You would die if you opened and drank it, lol.

I have some unopened ones too. They're all from the late 2000s though.
