it had Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus in it, but it was mostly about a long-earned donkey named Lester (I think) and how everyone makes fun of him because of his ears. Afterwards, I think there was another claymation special dealing with a big-eared baby new year. I remember watching this and loving it. Anyone know what I'm talking about (and possibly where to get it)?

You're thinking of the claymation Christmas classics "Nestor, the Long-Eared Christmas Donkey" and "Rudolph's Shiny New Year". They show these every Christmas on ABC Family Channel.
      WHAT?

No kidding? I've yet to see it since I was a child. Oh well, thanks for the title, I'll have to look out for it from now on. I always see the Rudoph one but never the Nester one.

They are on a DVD together, along with The Year Without a Santa Claus.
You can get it on Amazon.
