Even though you may forgive this movie for its great character designs and great blend of visual effects, Computer Animated characters, and live action environments, Disney, the producing studio that made it, still barely made a profit from this one. Well, I’m talking about Dinosaur (2000), one of the most problematic milestones in visual effects and animation history: artistically, it is the first and only attempt at realizing a blend of all-digital characters and live action backgrounds for film; Ideologically, it was nearly forgotten, probably because of, directly, or indirectly, the attacks on the talking dinosaurs and lemurs of that film, and the attacks on, directly, or indirectly, on the film's inaccuracies and the story.

The fact that the main characters are dinosaurs, the fact the main character was raised by monkeys, the fact that the main character was separated when he was very young (in fact, he was still an egg in this movie), the fact that the main character struggled for domiance, and, among other facts, the fact that different species of plant eating dinosaurs banded together to search for a goal, far, far, away, to overcome differences, and to avoid being killed by predators, are what made you people scream that it copied Don Bluth's The Land Before Time, Disney's own the Lion King, and even their 1999 animated version of Tarzan.

In addition to all that, Dinosaur may cause critical wars that might continue to this day over its achievements and legacy. But despite all that, the imagery, the designs, and even the music by James Newton Howard are still incredible, even to this day.

Now, what if I nearly fix the "Disney's Dinosaur" disaster from nearly 10 years ago? What if Disney and/or I might revisit, rework, and remake Disney's Dinosaur from scratch by making Dinosaur Redux (A 220-minute (or, if including 12 minutes of overture, intermission, and entr'acte, 232 minutes) expansion of/alternate film companion to Disney's Dinosaur, derived from dropped subplots, unseen characters and creatures, and other unseen stuff (dropped from Disney's Dinosaur between 1994 or 1995 and 2000) made in a 2.35:1 Cinemascope aspect ratio and in Disney Digital 3D) which could improve on and fix elements of Disney's Dinosaur thought to be unsucessful by critics and audiences (such as improving and intensifying character dynamics, etc., making the story much more easier to follow despite the talking dinosaurs and lemurs or so, and approaching the movie with a more relaxed perspective) and which could be a much stronger and darker version than the original Disney's Dinosaur film from 2000?

Anyway, in the meantime, you may either watch me watching the first 7 minutes of Disney's Dinosaur on YouTube:

(P.S. I actually played the Carnotaur Attack scene without its accompanying music in that video)

or listen to the complete music score for Dinosaur by James Newton Howard on IMEEM:

(P.S. You have to log in or register to IMEEM to listen to the complete music score for Disney's Dinosaur if you want to or so)

So, do you remember the disaster that was Disney's Dinosaur? What's your best and worst parts of that movie? What do you like best about Disney's Dinosaur? What did you hated worse about that movie? Why did everyone hated or were embarrassed by Disney's Dinosaur (2000)? Well, do you?

It was definitely pretty to look at in the theaters (lots of visual eye candy)...but I never had a desire to watch it again after that.

I hated it and I too thought that it was a rip off of the Land Before time

God, I remember going to see this movie with my Earth and Science class in the 9th grade. No one paid attention and the immature boys were making fun of the whole movie.

It DID make a nice memory. ;)
