Oh yes, there are a lot out there who try and act like they're still 25 and they're in their 60's and look ridiculous. Artists and bands who are past their use-by date and won't bow out of public life, thinking they still have a lot to offer.

Gene Simmons from KISS was asked in Australian interview whether he felt he was suffering the same fate as Spinal Tap. He replied he didn't know who they were. Perhaps if he did, he wouldn't be still parading around in makeup. I would class KISS in this catergory. Unless you're a hardcore fan, the rest of us cannot name their last recording. But that aside, they're men in their 50's wearing make-up, platforms and singing songs about partying all night? Even Freddy Mercury, a hedonist of extremes, said once he turned 40, he'd look ridiculous in a leotard and nail varnish.

Others who should stop RIGHT NOW are:
    - The Rolling Stones. Dull music, wrinkly faces, there's just so many reasons for them to say they've amassed enough money and will play the local pub if they want a concert.
    - Madonna. A woman of 50+ trying to act 21 is off-putting. She relies of sampling and other people to write her melodies so all she has is image.
    - Queen. Freddy is dead. Your new singer is not a patch on him. Retire the Queen name and start a new band if you must but it would be best if you imitate John Deacon and enjoy family life instead of flying around locales pretending you are hip.
    - INXS. Michael Hutchence is also dead. Take a leaf out of Led Zepplin's book and move on to other things.

And now it is time for the rest of you to contribute...

I think Yes should call it day, these days all the guys tend to do better playing solo shows at small venues. Jon Anderson's already left due to health reasons, the rest of the band should take his lead. Their new replacement singer isn't cutting it, he sings a lot of flat notes and the guy on keyboards, one of Rick Wakeman's sons is the worst keyboard player that's ever been with the band and keyboards are really important to the Yes sound.

If you want a good laugh go to the Mark Prindle review page and read how he trashes the last few Madonna albums, especially American Life.

The Rolling Stones I believe have stated they're now just a touring band, no more albums. So they've resigned themselves to being an oldies band with nothing new to offer.

I didn't know that about the Rolling Stones but one day people will stop going to their shows and they'll get the hint.

Madonna's last big hit was essentially written by Benny and Bjorn about 25 years ago and she took the bassline, keyboards and added some limp lyrics. Urgh.

My partner nominates Deep Purple. He is a big fan but we recently saw them on a tv special filmed at Montreaux and they sounded atrocious and he said, "my god they're a joke!" Ritchie Blackmoore has a good solo career so there's no reason to keep the band charade going.

All these Boy bands that come back in their mid 30's, they were shit in their prime and are just sad/creepy now
