    		 I just finished watching the 1st season of The Wire....I thought it was pretty good...not HBO's best (well next to Rome/Deadwood/Oz)...the best thing about it was Omar I thought.....

    I've seen all seasons of The Shield and prefer it over The Wire...Vic Mackey is a classic character!

    After seeing 4 episodes of season 2 of The Wire, my opinion is staying the same so far, but I'd like to know what you guys prefer and why??

      		 Before this weekend, I hadn't seen either show. I still haven't seen 'The Wire', but I now have seen the first three seasons of 'The Shield'. So, you can pretty much guess how much I liked that show. :D

        		 The Shield is the most addictive show I have ever seen. Love having them on DVD. I've watched the entire series now. Took me about one day to watch season 4.

          		 The Shield is a great show to watch back to back....so is the Wire I think. Both of them I feel are best watched back to back episodes...you just feel the story so much more that way! Deadwood is another one like that!

          My husband and I got the Wire to watch just basically to fill some time, but it's turned out to be pretty watchable...not Shield watchable (some of the scenes in The Shield are jaw droppingly good) but it holds up it's own.

          BTW, Shield is apparently back on the 10th January!!!

            WE MUST FIND SEASON 4. It took us three days to finish seasons 1-3...THAT'S how addicting it is. :shock:
