Kray 8 years 10 months ago Posts: 944	I'd have to say Dogs. Cat's aren't much fun to me, they're not big enough to wrestle and they run away when you pick on them (at least the ones I know). Plus they don't taste very good, even barbeque sauce doesn't help. But I don't like all dogs, ones that are small enough to punt are not canines but actually rodents to me.

System 8 years 10 months ago Posts: 74809	I dig 'em both. But if I had to choose, I'd definitely go with a medium-large sized dog. Loyal, full of character and protective...great for hiking and camp companions.

ninjamonkey 8 years 10 months ago Posts: 572	hmm.......dog. domestic cats dont have the intelligence to learn commands, at least, dont have them like a dog has them, who were bred from the start to follow commands. however, performance BIG cats (tigers, cougars, panthers, lions, etc) have more brains than a dog has, so....i would like a trained mountain lion? does that count?

I almost see some Aussie Shepherd in there. He's part Rottweiler and part English Springer Spaniel. I think he may have some German Shepard in him, though.

Sort of like a wolf/husky mix. They can interbreed, one of my favorite cats at my granpa's farm was half domestic cat half bobcat. Imagine a cat that came waist high to a 6yr old. This cat still had some of the bobcat markins. He was very protective of me. He died when I was 17, my grandpa said he just meowed and he said it just said to him I've had enough, I ready to go, then died. He's the only cat that has a tombstone on the family farm. True story.
