I was hoping maybe someone could help with something. My husband and I have a male and female ferret...the male is 3 weeks older than the female and they are both around 9 months old. We are hoping to breed them and the male is definitely ready. I was just wondering what age the female could potentially get pregnant from and if anyone else has been through the process if they could let me know a little about it!

LOL, when my parents FINALLY let me have a pet of my own, I went out and got a hamster....I picked the laziest fat one who the guy at the store said was a male (I asked twice)....took it home, and the next morning I was getting ready for school and found my "male" hamster sitting around 12 little hamsters.....now, I was young so I can excuse myself, but how stupid was the guy at the pet store?!?! I just got 13 hamsters for the price of one! That said, man did it start to stink!! I prefer rats to hamsters, but ferrets beat them all out if you can't have a dog or cat!

Just remember, Azuichi... hamsters generally eat their first one or two litters, iirc. Some stupid reason, I know. I forgot why though. But one big no-no: DO NOT EVER, EVER touch the babies. That'll earn them a guaranteed path for mommy feed.
