    I grew up in a black southern baptist home. Went to church every Sunday singing the old gospel classics. So along comes this white woman named Melanie with a song called "Lay Down (Candles in the Rain)" on the radio back in 1970 and I just loved watching my parents squrim uncomfortably as they grappled with the idea of "whitey getin' righteous" with the music. LMAO!

    Trouble was I couldn't catch all the lyrics. So I did a search and I thought "put it on RJ".
