              Big Country - (In a) Big Country [Great song and the band features some musicians who had done session work on Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey's 80's solo material. They also recorded a track with Kate Bush which wasn't a hit in North America.]

                    They abandoned the US market because they disliked the active marketing but they continue to sell large amounts of records in Europe. Their last three albums charted number one in most European nations, the last album was Analogue in 2008. Analogue was listed as the best album of 2008 by Australia's largest-selling newspaper.                     But one hit wonders... Hayzee Fantayse. Cool outfits/image, no staying power.

                          		 I forgot about Scandal. I used to like that song, but it's hardly on any compilations from the 1980's. Sheena E with 'Morning Train', The Vapours 'Turning Japanese' and Kim Cairns 'Bette Davis Eyes' are also staples of one hit wonder compilations.

                            		 I've always considered A Flock Of Seagulls - "I Ran" as a one hit wonder because I've never heard any other song from them.
