    		 I apologize if this has been requested, but we have categories for movies, television, commercials and people.

    There ought to be threads for the following items:

    • Music — with articles about the most famous songs, performers and other appropriate music topics (e.g., genre and styles famous during the 1970s through 1990s)

    • Sports — self-explanatory. Articles about the top sports teams, athletes and sports-related news from 1970-1999.

    • News events — Perhaps a year-by-year capsule, 1970-1999, of the top news stories, with breakout articles of the events we all lived through — from the latter days of the Vietnam War and Watergate to the Y2K bug and the rise of terrorism ... and everything in between.

    • Automobiles — Another self-explanatory item, talking about those gas hogs, latter-day muscle cars, the subcompacts and gas misers to front-wheel drives, minivans and sport utility vehicles. And don't forget, the gadgets such as the rise of cellular telephones!
