I went to go rent Starfox Assault and the Blockbuster I live by doesn't carry it. And I am not paying $50 bucks for a game that might suck.

Yeah, Blockbuster has a real problem catering to the Nintendo crowd. Rows and rows of PS2, X-Box, and now even PSP, but very little GCN and no DS. Pfft.

Anyway, Star Fox 64 for me too. I had the original for SNES and absolutely hated it, but I never have played SFA or SFA (how confusing). The voices were probably the most memorable for me.

    "My emperor! I've failed yoooooooou!"

"I can't believe I lost to this scuuuuuum!"

    "Andros' enemy is MY enemy!"

"Daddy screamed real good before he DIED!"

    And of course, the classic:

    "Do a barrel roll!"

I'll never forget them. I'm also a big fan of the All Range Mode parts like Bill's level and that space mech boss fight.

The original Star Fox, because I miss the colorful polygons, Hajime Hirasawa's music, the way the characters speak (Here is an example for Fox), and the original Andross look:

My vote would have to go for the original Starfox (SNES), but SF64 was good also.

As much as I dislike the game, I have to agree. I don't miss the polygon look, but I was really nice to look at. I completely agree with Andros looking better on the SNES. He was creepy, odd, and somewhat itimidating all in one. The voices, though, I think 64 had it much better. Those blooping noises, especially Peppy, got on my nerves so much.

And by the way: it wasn't SEGA that designed Super FX chip, it was designed by Argonaut Software.

It makes me sad about Nintendo changing the original theme into a new theme.

Click here for the original theme.
